What is Christianity?
Christianity is based on a person - Jesus Christ. Its foundation is the book that tells about Jesus, i.e. the Bible.
The essential thing in Christianity is that Christians believe in Jesus. Believe that he was and is God's son. Believe that human beings can have forgiveness and life by believing in him. A life that continues after dying.
Jesus Christ lived on earth 2000 years ago, but he also lives today. Even though he died on a cross and was buried, hundreds of people met him after his resurrection.
Also today millions of Christians meet Jesus every day. Not visibly and tangibly, but in their souls and minds. For instance when they read about him in the Bible, are together with other Christians, pray to him, sing about him or just think about him during their everyday life.
An important part of the life as a Christian is the fellowship with other Christians in the church, congregation of in small groups. The Christian love creates a confidential fellowship of people who help each other and have the faith in common.

Men blodet skal I have som mærke på husene, hvor I er. Når jeg ser blodet, går jeg forbi jer. Ingen ødelæggende plage skal ramme jer, når jeg slår egypterne.
